摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device and its recording operation conversion method which can shorten the hour necessary for the temperature correction of laser beam output. SOLUTION: The optical disk device has an optical pickup, a focus servo means and a calculating means which obtains for the relation between the light-emitting strength and the driving current by obtaining each at least the first light-emitting strength from the optical pickup and the driving current of a laser diode with which the second larger light-emitting strength than that is obtained. After both the tracking servo and the focus servo drive the laser diode by the ON state and perform the reproduction operation of the optical disk on the basis of the light beam of the first light-emitting strength, the tracking servo is turned off and the offset is applied to a focus servo system in the state where the focus servo is on to set as the state where the position of the light beam to the optical disk is shifted from a focusing state. After making the light beam into the second light-emitting strength which reaches write-in power or deletion power in this state, the driving current of the laser diode at that time is obtained to obtain the relation between the light-emitting strength and the driving current, and the recording operation to the optical disk is performed based on the relation between the obtained light-emitting strength and driving current.
