摘要 monitoring procedure for object of solid material immersed in water, employs intermediate layer of material which is different from water and object. intermediate layer adheres to the object, has thickness equal to quarter of wavelength of ultrasound wave in intermediate layer, and specific acoustic impedance equal to square root of SAI of water times SAI of the material of solid object. The monitoring procedure for an object (12) of a solid material immersed in water, using emitted (1) and reflected (3) ultrasound waves which penetrate the object and are reflected from its base, employs an intermediate layer (20) of a material which is different from the water and the object. The intermediate layer adheres to the object, has a thickness (e3) equal to a quarter of the wavelength of the ultrasound wave in the intermediate layer, and a specific acoustic impedance (SAI) approximately equal to the square root of the SAI of water times the SAI of the material of the solid object.
