PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic matching device which is excellent in a maximum power characteristics and also small-sized and is easily controlled by using a matching circuit in place of a matching circuit using a stub. SOLUTION: A waveguide transmission line is connected between a transmitter and a load, and three pieces of waveguide branch variable reactance are provided on the transmission line. A directional coupler or a capacitive coupler is provided to calculate the absolute value and phase of a load reflection coefficient and drives the variable reactance by using these signals to perform matching. When the transmission line is a coaxial tube, three pieces of coaxial tube branch variable reactance are provided.
