PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod embracing fitting superior applicability and workability for ensuring smooth attachment/detachment of a rod body with simple operation and firm embracement of the rod body, and a scaffold forming method. SOLUTION: The rod embracing fitting comprises a stopper operation body 7 rotatably arranged at the other end of a base 2 to be added thereto. The stopper operation body 7 rotationally moved is slid with respect to a shaft bar 18 so that the shaft bar 18 is locked to a shaft bar locking portion 20 provided at one end of a slit 19. Thus, a locked portion 8 cannot be detached from a locking body 5 to allow the embracement and fixation of the rod body 4.
