PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means enabling a bacteriostatic and antibacterial agent, and a chemical having activities for stabilizing the shape to be precisely fixed without unevenness over the whole of a sewn product or the like. SOLUTION: A sewn product is subjected to a chemical-imparting step 1 for attaching or impregnating the combination of the bacteriostatic and antibacterial agent with the chemical exhibiting the activities for stabilizing the shape to or into the sewn product, and the resultant sewn product is subjected to a heat treatment step 3 for heating the resultant sewn product while keeping the state in which the sewn product is arranged in the air, to fix the bacteriostatic and antibacterial agent and the chemical exhibiting the activities for stabilizing the shape to the sewn product. The chemical exhibiting the activities for stabilizing the shape is preferably the one free from formaldehyde.
