PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for setting the laser output used for an optical disk recording/reproducing device capable of recording a signal to the disk by the laser emitting from an optical pickup. SOLUTION: In the optical disk recording/reproducing device constituted so that the setting operation of the laser output is performed by recording a test signal on the trial writing area arranged at the inner peripheral side of the disk and also information data showing the recording position of the signal are recorded on the buffer area arranged at the outside of the trial writing area, the arrangement is made so that the set data are recorded on the buffer area as the recording data when the setting operation of the laser output is performed. |
