摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely lower engine torque raised for reducing pull-in shock generated in a torque phase at the up-shift before an inertia phase. SOLUTION: During time up to t2 until preretard permission time Δt1 elapses from transmission starting time t1, ignition timing is delayed and engine torque Te is gradually lowered. At torque phase starting time t3, torque up amount Tb of an engine required to eliminate pull-in of torque in the torque phase is determined and ignition timing is advanced so that Te may gradually rise to Tb by taking set time Δt2. At t5 when set time Δt3 according to an engine load state and the kind of up-shift transmission elapses from elapsed time t4 of set time Δt2, ignition timing is delayed so as to lower engine torque Te by requested torque down amount Td determined for shock prevention in the inertia phase. Because t5 (Δt3) is changed according to engine load, torque down Td is surely started before the starting (16) of the inertia phase in any engine load.
