摘要 PURPOSE: A circuit for removing residual magnetism of a cathode ray tube according to a degaussing coil is provided to remove residual magnetism using magnetic flux generated by flowing current through the degaussing coil placed behind the cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for removing residual magnetism of a cathode ray tube according to a degaussing coil(80) includes an input voltage detector(50) for detecting the level of voltage induced by a power transformer(20), a current controller(60) for controlling current flowing to the degaussing coil according to the detected voltage level, and a relay driver(70) for providing the current output from the current controller to the degaussing coil. The degaussing coil degausses residual magnetism of the cathode ray tube according to the current from the current controller. The current controller includes a triac that on/off switches according to the voltage from the input voltage detector, the first and second thermistors for controlling current flowing into the degaussing coil according to the on/off switching operation of the triac. When the triac is off, the first thermistor is serially connected to the degaussing coil. When the triac is on, the first and second thermistors are connected with the degaussing coil in parallel.
