PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent destruction of a pile, to enhance the construction property of the pile and the quality of the pile by increasing the deformation performance of a joint part between the head of the pile and the bottom surface of a footing where the bending moment of the pile is expected to become greatest. SOLUTION: A structure for joining the head of the pile interconnects the pile 1 and the footing 3 relatively displaceable, and comprises a pile head end plate 2 provided at the upper end of the pile head, a footing end plate 3 provided at the bottom of the footing, a sheet of elastic material 5 disposed between the end plates 2 and 3, a connecting member 6 clamping the end plates 2 and 3, and an elastic ring 11 with a core 12 therein which is disposed between the horizontal locking part of the connecting member 6 and each end plate. Relative vertical displacements of the joint part are permitted. Precast concrete 13 with a taper 13a that slopes upwards toward the center of the pile is initially provided beneath the pile head end plate 2 to prevent slime from being left behind.
