<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture the connected unit of an electric wire and a terminal with high yield. SOLUTION: The cross section of recessed portions 13n for letting a slot wall 22n of the thrust surface of the electric wire escape is made similar in shape to the flat view case of the slot wall 22n, and the sizes are made slightly larger than the wall 22n. For instance, when the cross section of the slot wall 22n has a waveform, a recessed hole 13 is formed, that is similar in shape to the waveform having the cross section larger by one size. Because the gap between the edge part of the recessed portions 13n and that of the slot wall 22n is equal at any position along both edge parts and its values is small, shearing force that cuts the cover of the wire acts equally along the edge so that cutting effect is much improved, when the electric wire is gripped relatively by both edge parts in compression connection. As a result, the cover is cut smoothly and its inside conductor is exposed and guided into the slot 21, which makes it easy for the conductor to contact the sidewall 22n.</p> |
