PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive with linear motor capable of magnetic fields other than a prescribed magnetic field from extending to a magnetic detection part and detecting the position of an object to be driven with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This drive includes a linear motor 10 for reciprocating the object 2a to be driven in a housing 1, a rod part 6 mounted integrally on the object 2a to be driven and transmitting driving power from the linear motor 10, the magnetic detection part 22 for detecting a magnetic part 21 and the magnetic filed of the magnetic part 21, a position detecting means 20 for detecting the position of the object 2a to be driven, and an elastic means 7 mounted in between the rod part 6 and the housing 1 and elastically supporting the object 2a to be reciprocatively drivable. The elastic means 7 is constituted of a plurality of plate-shaped springs, formed of a magnetic material and disposed between the object 2a to be driven and the linear motor 10. The position detecting means 20 is disposed on the side of the object 2a to be driven via the elastic means 7.
