PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deviation of an information recording surface of a disk in the Z axis direction due to deformation such as warp and to suppress inclination thereof from an optical axis in a tangential direction or a radial direction and thereby to realize stabilization of servo control in a focus direction and reduction of jitter or crosstalk. SOLUTION: In a disk driving device provided with a turntable on which the disk is mounted, a disk holding means for holding the disk at a prescribed position on the turntable and a spindle motor for rotating driving the turntable, a direction being parallel to the optical axis of light beams irradiated from an optical head is made to Z axis direction and a rotary shaft of the spindle motor is arranged in the Z axis direction. Further a radial direction of the disk an origin of which is on the rotary shaft and which passes the origin and orthogonally crosses the optical axis of the light beam is made to Y axis direction and a tangential direction of the disk orthogonally crossing the Y axis direction is made to X axis direction. When XYZ orthogonal coordinate system is supposed, the disk driving device is distinguished by that the turntable is joined to a driving shaft of the spindle motor so as to be able to rotate around a shaft being parallel to the X axis and a shaft being parallel to the Y axis.
