PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for a vane pump capable of improving the slide property and the resistance against wear without sacrificing the productivity due to the reduction of a weight and die casting. SOLUTION: In this vane pump in which a recessed space is formed in a body and a side plate 8 and a pump cartridge consisting of a rotor 31 connected with a driving shaft to store a vane 32 so as to come in and out freely and a cam ring 30 storing the rotor rotatably are stored in this space to cover the recessed space with the cover, the cover 100 is constituted by storing a slide plate 101 made of an aluminum sintered alloy used favorably for the slide property and the resistance against wear for the rotor and containing 12 to 24% silicon in a support hole of a cover housing 102 formed by an aluminum alloy to reduce a weight thereof and improve the slide property and the resistance against wear for the rotor.
