PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-belt type automatic transmission that can allow a thrust spring to be fixed without increases in cost and in part size. SOLUTION: A thrust spring 34 is bent at the end side of a drive plate 30 in a substantially right angle to form a locking portion 35L. The locking portion 35L is locked in a locking hole 36L cut in the drive plate 30. Between the end face of the thrust spring 34 and the drive plate 30, a step 41L is provided a distance T1 separated equal to the wire diameter d of the thrust spring 34 or the inward bend radius of the locking portion 35L.
