PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a floor joint device capable of preventing a joint plate from having an unsightly look by surely covering a joint plate moving opening without preventing the movement of the joint plate even if a movable amount of the joint plate is largely set. SOLUTION: The floor joint device is constituted of the joint plate moving opening for opening the lower surfaces formed in both side walls on a joint section side of one of both right and left buildings constructed through the joint section at the surface flush with a floor surface or less, the joint plate consisting of the rear end section mounted to a skeleton on the joint section side of the other building so as to connect with the floor surface of the other building, the front end borne on the floor surface on the joint section side of one building and both ends entering the inside of the joint plate moving opening and a moving cover device capable of being moved so as not to prevent the movement of the joint plate for covering the inside of the joint plate moving opening at which both ends of the joint plate enter.
