PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetically sealed reciprocating compressor capable of greatly lowering a noise level of the whole compressor by reducing penetration sound due to empty vibration of a sealed case. SOLUTION: A flow restriction groove 151 storing an upper end part of a crank shaft 123 is formed in a central part of a crank shaft stopper 150 provided in an upper inside of the sealed case 110, and a pair of mass increasing parts 160 re bent and formed on both sides of the groove 151. The noise due to resonance of the sealed case can be further reduced by deviating an angle between the crank shaft stopper 150 and the direction of reciprocating movement of a piston 132 by substantially 45 deg..
