METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COLORATION BY MULTICHANNEL MRI IMAGE PROCESSING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize the coloration of multichannel MRI. SOLUTION: A sample form which color determination and MRI photography can be performed is photographed under different conditions to obtain plural MRI images, whose image data are processed by 1st independent component analysis and decomposed into L independent component images; and N points on the sample are selected and training samples which are a combination of independent component image luminance values and color components (normally three) are generated. This is used to generate transfer function, which outputs one color component for an arbitrary combination of L independent component image luminance values, as many as the color components. Plural MRI images of an object for which colored MRI is desirable are photographed under different conditions and data of the MRI images are processed by the 2nd independent component analysis to generate L independent component images. Then calibration processing for matching a luminance scale is carried out and the transfer functions which are already obtained are applied to an independent component image after the calibration to obtain a color image.
