<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of performing a facsimile function and a computer network transmission function that notify an operator whether or not a transmission destination is connected to a WAN and further enables the operator to select a transmitting method when the transmission destination is connected to the WAN. SOLUTION: When the operator attempts to transmit a facsimile, a facsimile network uniting device 10 accesses a facsimile number and network information database 20 to obtain information on whether or not the transmission destination of the fax number is connected to the WAN and displays the contents on the display screen, etc., of an operating part 12. The above problem is also solved by displaying the electronic-mail address of the facsimile user attempting the transmission, which is stored in the database 20.</p> |
