PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate transporting device which allows preventing the downward fall of foreign matter, such as dust and dirt, floating above a transporting means to the side lower than the transporting means. SOLUTION: The front end of a screen 452 is locked to one end on the moving direction side of a surface plate 401 and the front end of a screen 454 is detained to the other end on the moving direction side of the surface plate 402. The screens 452 and 454 are locked at their base ends to take-up shafts 446 of take-upstream 440 and 442. When the surface plate 402 moves, the side opposite to the moving direction of the screens 452 and 454 is drawn out together with the surface plate 402 and covers the upper side of a ball screw 412, etc. As a result, there is no adhesion of the dust and dirt floating above to the ball screw 412, etc. |
