PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device capable of performing high speed reading at the time of receiving a reading request in the same order as that at the time of writing concerning information related with a storage position on a storage medium. SOLUTION: In response to a writing request from a host 20, information related with a storage position corresponding to the next writing request is held in a storage device by the operation of a storage position information managing part 10. On the other hand, in response to a reading request at the time of reading, the information held at the time of writing in response to the same writing request concerning the storage position is referred to by the operation of the storage position information managing part. Then, the data are read from the storage medium based on the information, and stored in a memory 24. Moreover, in response to the referred information, the information held at the time of writing in response to the same writing request concerning the storage position is newly referred to by the operation of the storage position information managing part.
