PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing image staining by perfectly removing toner adhering to an intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: After an image formed on a photoreceptor drum (image carrier) 1 by an image forming means is transferred to an intermediate transfer roller (intermediate transfer body) 15, the image on the roller 15 is transferred to transfer material P in this image forming device, which is provided with a rotating fur brush (stirring member) 20 selectively abutting on the roller 15 at the time of cleaning the roller 15. Since the toner which is not transferred to the material P and left on the surface of the roller 15 is stirred and uniformly dispersed by the brush 20, cleaning performance for the roller 15 is drastically enhanced in comparison with conventional cleaning in which only DC bias is applied, and the image staining is surely prevented.
