PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a single-lens reflex camera which can be miniaturized in a height direction when it is not used as a single lens reflex camera, where an image formed on a primary image-forming surface at a position optically equivalent to the image-forming surface of a photographing optical system is reflected to the eye side by a reflection mirror and is re-formed on a secondary image-forming surface by a relay lens system, and the image formed on the secondary image-formation surface is observed by an eyepiece optical system. SOLUTION: As for this single lens reflex camera, the reflecting mirror 15 is supported by a cover member 21, consisting of a member separate from a camera body and constituting a part of the exterior package of the camera, and the member 21 is supported in a camera body turnably between an observation position, where the mirror 15 is positioned to reflect a subject image on the primary image-formation surface 14 toward the eyepiece optical system 18 and a housing position, where the mirror 15 is tilted toward the surface 14.
