摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nickel powder in which electric resistivity is low since the concentration of oxygen in nickel is low, the grain size distributing characteristics thereof are excellent, and also, flocculation is small, and the amount to be dispersed into dielctrics on calcination is also small since its dispersibility into an organic vehicle in producing electrically conductive paste is excellent, and, further, the amount of nickel oxide is small, to provide electrically conductive paste containing the same nickel and to provide a method for producing the same nickel powder. SOLUTION: In this nickel powder, the number of grains having a grain size >=1.5 times the average grain size by laser diffraction scattering type grain size distributing measurement is the <=20% number of all grains, the number of grains having a grain size <=0.5 times the average grain size is <=5% the number of all grains, the average primary grain size by SEM observation is 0.1 to 2μm, and also, the content of oxygen contained in the nickel powder is <=2 mass %, the electrically conductive paste contains the same nickel powder, and the producing method uses the same nickel powder.
