PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil solution for carbon fiber producing process capable of obtaining a high performance carbon fiber excellent in heat resistance, fiber dividing property and prevention of fiber adhesion. SOLUTION: This oil solution is characterized by including a compound expressed by general formula (1); X1-(O-R-)a-(-O-Q-O-R-)c-O-(-Q-O-)b-X2 a and b are each 0 or 1, c is an integer of 1-1,000. X1 and X2 are each H or a monocarboxylic acid residue or a monool residue, Q is a diol residue, R is a dicarboxylic acid residue. X1 is H or monocarboxylic acid residue when a is 0, and X1 is H or the monool residue when a is 1, X2 is H or monool residue when b is 0, X2 is H or a monocarboxylic acid residue when b is 1}.
