PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent moisture from being absorbed from an impregnated conductive polymer in a capacitor element during the manufacturing process of a solid electrolytic capacitor subsequent to the impregnation process, and to prevent the equivalent series resistance of the capacitor and a leakage current in the capacitor from being increased even though a VPS(Vapor Phase Soldering) test or a test of the durability of a completed capacitor product is made. SOLUTION: In a solid electrolytic capacitor constituted into a structure that a capacitor element formed with a dielectric film and provided with an anode member is impregnated with a conductive polymer which is used as a cathode electrolyte and the capacitor element is arranged and sealed in a packaged material, the capacitor element impregnated with the polymer is covered with an epoxy resin mixed with a silane coupling agent.
