PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyarylate pulp having excellent heat resistance, excellent dielectric characteristics, and low water absorption, to provide paper comprising the pulp, and to provide methods for producing the articles. SOLUTION: This polyarylate pulp containing >=40 wt.% of pulp that has a fiber length of >=106μm and comprises a polymer containing (A) structural units which are represented by general formula (I), comprise one or more kinds of groups selected from phthaloyl groups, isophthaloyl groups, and terephthaloyl groups, wherein the content of the terephthaloyl groups is <40 wt.%, and (B) structural units which are represented by general formula (II) [X is one or more kinds of divalent bonding groups selected from a single bond, S, 0, SO2, and CO; Q and R are each one or more kinds of groups selected from the group consisting of 1 to 4C alkyl groups, alkoxy groups, and halogen atoms; (m) and (n) are each an integer of 0 to 4], in a total amount of >=70 wt.%.
