PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plurality of workers to freely and safely move on a surface of a roof without being restricted by actions of the other workers, and to enhance the workability on the roof. SOLUTION: The on-roof safety device is formed by arranging a support installing plate 1 and a support 5 fitted thereinto to protrude from a roof surface by a predetermined length, at a ridge portion of the roof, and arranging a plurality of wind-up type safety ropes 6 which are rotatable on the entire periphery of the support in layers. Then, the wind-up type safety ropes 6 are connected to the respective workers, whereby they can work individually from each other without being restricted by actions of the other workers.
