PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrant mounting structure capable of readily coping with different embedded depths of a water pipe and different installation depths of a valve casing and also coping with changes in height of the surface of the ground. SOLUTION: Either one of an upper connecting pipe extending from a hydrant body part into the ground and a lower connecting pipe extending upwards from a hydrant valve casing is provided with a socket 15 and the other of the pipes is provided with a spigot 16. A lower valve rod 42 formed to be capable of adjusting the amount by which the spigot 16 is inserted into the socket 15 and adapted to open and close a valve element in the hydrant valve casing and an upper valve rod 43 provided in the hydrant body part are connected with each other by an axially movable connecting member 44.
