SOLUTION: This printer 2 capable of monochromatic or multicolor printing has a connection part for a portable telephone set 1 with an electronic mail receiving function and mail received by the portable telephone set 1 can be printed not through a personal computer, but directly; when the printer is mounted on an automobile, its printing is restricted during a drive so that the concentration of the drivers is not impaired, and a charging function for the portable telephone set is added to the connection part.
