PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image detection device capable of preventing performance deterioration caused by a using environmental condition, and heightening durability of the device. SOLUTION: This detection device is equipped with a TFT array 1 having plural TFT elements arranged matrically on a substrate, for taking out the charge generated in an electrode connected to each TFT element respectively to the outside of the substrate, a photoelectric conversion layer 2 formed by being connected to the electrode 1a of the TFT array 1, a common electrode 3 installed oppositely to the electrode 1a of the TFT array 1 on the upper surface of the photoelectric conversion layer 2, and a shielding cover 4 capable of shielding light including an ultraviolet ray by involving the photoelectric conversion layer 2 and the common electrode 3 so as to be separated airtightly from the open air.
