PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generation system equipped with a gasification melting furnace that generates a high-calorie gas and a hydrogen-rich gas by freely selecting the temperature in the furnace. SOLUTION: Provided are generation systems 22 and 38 each of which is equipped with a plasma-type gasification melting furnace 1 for gasifying objective combustibles 23 under temperatures and oxygen concentrations favorable for gasification; a gas refiner 26 for refining the gases obtained by the gasification to form a refined gas 27 devoid of harmful things; and generators 30 and 43 each of which generates electricity by using the gas 27.
