PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular V-belt type automatic transmission that is capable of a smooth shift. SOLUTION: The vehicular V-belt type automatic transmission comprises a driving pulley 38 and a driven pulley. Centrifugal radial movement of a plurality of centrifugal weights 42 and 43 interposed between a movable pulley element 40 and a cam plate 41 in the driving pulley 38 changes the entraining radii of the driving pulley 38 and driven pulley for a V-belt 67, wherein a maximum transmission ratio is set in a low-speed range and a minimum transmission ratio is set in a higher-speed range. The radial movement of one centrifugal weight 43 in the plurality of the centrifugal weights 42 and 43 is substantially blocked in an intermediate-speed range of an engine speed by a stopper surface 40h, whereby an intermediate transmission ratio is set. The centrifugal weight 43 has a lighter weight than the other centrifugal weight 42, and the stopper surface 40h is inclined to generate the pressing force that presses the centrifugal weight 43 against the cam plate 41.
