PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive system to make only required functions possible to be operated with required minimum memory capacity. SOLUTION: A packet to inquire storage destination information on a program file is transmitted to a LAN without specifying destination when the program file is required. (S1 to S2). Next, a retrieval server receives the packet (S3), collates storage destination of the program file (S4) and informs a digital copying machine of its collation result via the LAN (S5). Next, the storage destination information on the program file is acquired (S6) and a packet to make an acquisition request of the program file is transmitted to a file server (S7). The file server transmits the program file to the digital copying machine according to the packet contents (S8) and the digital copying machine executes the program file (S9).
