LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR COLD PLASTIC WORKING OF STEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant composition for cold plastic working of steels which can prevent seizing between a tool and a processed material even in extremely tough cold plastic working such as cold rolling of steels and which can be used, washed and removed easily. SOLUTION: This lubricant composition contains powder of calcium carbonate and/or calcium hydroxide with an average particle diameter of 20μm or less dispersed in a base oil comprising at least one of an organic chlorine compound which is liquid at room temperature (e.g. chlorinated paraffin), an organic sulfur compound (e.g. sulfurized oil) and an organic phosphorus compound (e.g. decyl phosphite).
