PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain satisfactory contrast by preventing an alignment layer from deteriorating due to a sealant radiation-curing operation. SOLUTION: A reflection mirror ML reflects ultraviolet rays LS from an ultraviolet-ray emitting device LGS. A polarizer PLS transmits only polarized light LP, which perpendicularly intersecting alignment direction of an alignment layer ORI1 of a liquid crystal panel PNL, irradiates a main seal SL and/or a sub seal FS of the liquid crystal panel PNL. Thereby alignment disorder in the alignment layer ORI1 is prevented.
