PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a method for presenting the collection of navigational aids to a user tin the navigation of web pates. SOLUTION: The individual navigational aids indicate information sources on a network and an audition queue is related to the gathered navigational aids. The elements of the list of bookmarks or the history of a browser are related to a certain sound regardless of the structural expression of the list. To put it concretely, a 'sound byte' is stored in a wave file on the storage medium of a computer for executing the browser. The element (a web page name, for instance) of the history list is related to one of the stored wave files. When the web page name is referred to, the wave file is reproduced again. In such a manner, the user can relate a specified location on the web to a specified sound.
