PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device for making it unnecessary to perform any exclusive processing by a host device, and for continuously holding an exclusive control state in a storage device. SOLUTION: This storage device is provided with a virtual storage control means for making plural logical volumes correspond to a host device, and the virtual storage control part is provided with a means for holding the address information and size information of each logical volume and the identification information(ID information) of the corresponding host device as the corresponding management information of each logical volume to the host device and an access request processing means for accepting an access request from the host device, and for detecting the logical volume corresponding to the host device being the origin of the access request by using the logical volume corresponding management information based on the identification information(ID information) of the host device being the origin of the access request, and for processing the access request from the host device by using the logical volume.
