PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet both the required driveafility and water cutoff properties of the water cutoff structure of a steel sheet pile joint part by means of a relatively simple arrangement. SOLUTION: In the water cutoff structure of the steel sheet pile joint part, joint parts 3a and 3b of different shapes which can fit to each other are provided at the ends of the right and left projecting arm parts 2 and 2 of each steel sheet pile 1, with the steel sheet pile 1 fitted together and placed in the same direction. The rear end of a water cutoff member 4 which overlaps with one arm part 2' of the pair of arm parts 2 and 2' where the joint parts fit to each other is joint to the other arm part 2 by welding or the like to reduce the amount by which water permeates through overlapping parts. Using the water cutoff member as a guide, the steel sheet piles are driven straight to avoid formation of openings so as to greatly enhance the water cutoff property of the structure. Also, the driveability of the structure is not impaired by gaps in the overlapping parts.
