PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio meter-reading system capable of eliminating any complicated frequency management without incorporating plural kinds of frequency transmitting parts into a slave set. SOLUTION: Each of slave sets 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d is provided with at least a means for measuring a call signal communication speed. When the slave set 3a, 3b, 3c or 3d recognizes that the communication speed of the received call signal is the preset specified speed, the slave set confirms whether or not it is its own number, then a radio line is established with a master set 2A.
