PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply additional information together with a moving image and to reproduce information using a simple operation. SOLUTION: A moving image image 2 is displayed on the screen 1 of a television. A notice area 3 and an information area 4 are provided for it. An icon, showing that additional information exists, is displayed in the notice area 3. Additional information is displayed in the information area 4. It is informed to a user as to whether additional information exists by using the notice area 3. When additional information exists, the user displays additional information in the information area 4 by operating a remote controller. When one piece of additional information exists, the operation of the remote controller can be performed by a toggle operation. Thus, a pointing device, such as a mouse and a track ball, is not necessary. Additional information can be sent in broadcast signal or in a reproduction signal, and it can be sent by using a different media, such as a memory stick or by using a network. Thus, information corresponding to the taste of the user can be supplied, and a value can be added to an existing content.
