摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active substance for nonaqueous electrolyte secondly cell of a capacity higher than that of former lithium manganese composite oxides with a spinel structure, and of a tougher cycle resistance at temperature higher than a lithium manganese composite oxide having a layer structure. SOLUTION: The positive electrode activate substance for nonaqueous electrolyte secondly cell is composed of a manganese composite oxide having a layer structure containing lithium expressed in the chemical formula Li1-xAxMn1-yMyO2 induced from a chemical formula expressed as Li1-xAxMnO2, in which a part of the lithium of a composite oxide represented in the general formula LiMO2 is substituted by a metal element A, where the metal element A substituting a part of lithium in the chemical formula is composed of more than one species selected from among an alkaline element and silver, in which substituted amount x is in a range of 0.03<=x<=0.2 and a part of Mn is substituted by a metal element M composed of at least more than one species selected from among the transition metal elements and other metal elements except for Mn.
