PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for realizing accommodation of an optimum connection and assignment of wavelengths that can realize a simple fault restoration function and assigns one wavelength to one connection for an optical wavelength multiplex network having a virtual ring in order to prevent the cost of nodes from being increased. SOLUTION: The method includes a step where in order to minimize the number of wavelengths λ required for a multiplex network, a graph is introduced from the network topology and connections are accommodated so as to minimize a maximum value Dmax of total sums D of weights of points belonging to each creek (c) of the graph and the number of connections xkr between nodes (k) accommodated in a virtual ring (r) is introduced and a step where the wavelengths are assigned to minimize the number of the wavelengths in use for the virtual ring accommodating the connections by using the number of connections xkr. |
