PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a topology construction method adopting an optical two- way ring changeover system that can prevent interruption of topology data due to mis-connection of an optical fiber so as to enhance the reliability of constructing the topology and the convenience of connection of the optical fiber and can automatically constitute the topology even in a ring where a conventional node unit is intermingled, and to provide its node unit. SOLUTION: In this method, topology data is circulated in either one direction of ring clockwise or counter clockwise direction to collect connection information of each node, the topology data is circulated in another direction when the circulation is disabled to collect connection information of each node. Thus, even in the case of a ring where a conventional node unit is intermingled and any misconnection exists, the topology can automatically be constituted. |
