PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device where necessary and sufficient cleaning can be carried out on an electrifying member at an appropriate timing. SOLUTION: In the device, a cleaning member 42 can be brought into contact with or be separated from an electrifying roll 4 as well as having the electrifying roll 4 brought into contact with a photoreceptor drum surface 3, electrifying current flown along with the electrification of the electrifying roll 4 is detected by a current detecting circuit 11 and the bringing into contact or separating of the cleaning member 42 is controlled based on the detected current by the current detecting circuit 11. |
