SOLUTION: The signal generator, having a crest factor characteristic measurement function, is provided with an instantaneous power calculation means 39 that calculates instantaneous power for each sampling from each couple of digital values for a measurement period TS, in each base band signal outputted from a couple of analog/digital converters 32a, 32b that sample a couple of analog base band signals I, Q and convert them into the digital values, a mean power calculation means 40 that calculates means power for the measurement period from each calculated instantaneous power, a power ratio calculation means 41, that calculates a power ratio R that is the instantaneous power to the mean power at sampling, when the instantaneous power at each sampling exceeds the mean power, an incident probability calculation means 42 that calculates an incident probability E (%) over the measurement period for each power ratio, and an incident probability characteristic output means 43, that outputs the calculated incident probability of each power ratio in a graphic form. |
