PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an overcurrent alarm sound producing safety receptacle, which makes power consumption of electric appliances connected, the condition of current measured by an ammeter shown at a single glance by a scale plate with a 'kW' marking, produces an alarm sound automatically, when current not smaller than allowable is consumed by connecting various kinds of electric appliances and reaches a dangerous state, has plug holes provided with power switches being independent respectively, enabling to perform power on/off with the electric appliances connected, and is capable of executing power saving. SOLUTION: A body in a hollow rectangular parallelepiped, into which an upper frame board and a lower frame board are fitted, and a breaker switch is fitted to the front of the frame wall. A transformer, which takes power from current, is fitted to the front inside the body. To the transformer, diodes for rectifying AC and a current regulator are connected. To the current regulator, an ammeter fitted with a contact for performing inspection of meter of power consumption and switching function outside permissible electric energy together, is connected. To the ammeter with a contact, an alarm sound generator is connected, and power switches are fitted along a plurality of plug holes arranged, in parallel in the surface of the body.
