COLOR CHARACTERISTICS CONVERSION METHOD AND IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional color characteristics conversion method that has difficulty of adjustment of a color to a preferred color without intelligence of the color adjustment technology and has required repetitive executions of the color adjustment. SOLUTION: Target display data to reproduce an object color are calculated on the image display device of this invention on the basis of reproduction characteristics data of the object color and color reproduction characteristics data of the image display device. A hue adjustment direction and a hue adjustment quantity are calculated from the target display data, and the color conversion characteristics parameter of the image display device is calculated according to the hue adjustment direction and the hue adjustment quantity.
