PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management device for ensuring the security of stored image data and facilitating the retrieval of required data. SOLUTION: This document management device is provided with a scanner 14 for reading a document as image data, a plotter 15 for printing the read image data, an NCU 17 for transmitting the read image data through a channel to an opposite party, a network I/F 20, a storage means for storing the read image data, a display operation part 18 for performing the changeover of an operation function and operation input to the device and an operation input part composed of a key port 21 and a display port 31. The operation input part is provided with a user specifying means for specifying the user of the image data, a specified user name is stored in the storage means in relation to the image data and the retrieval and reutilization of the image data are permitted to the user specified by the user specifying means. |
