PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method capable of determining the possibility of a premature abortion more precisely than conventional methods, and a reagent for use therewith. SOLUTION: The method for determining the possibility of the premature abortion includes measuring thrombomodulin in body fluid. The reagent for determining the possibility of the premature abortion contains an anti- thrombomodulin antibody. If the concentration of thrombomodulin in body fluid is higher than its normal value, the premature abortion is more likely.
