PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic fiber paper capable of minimizing the Na ion content and preventing the lowering of insulating properties due to the exudation of the Na ion especially when the organic fiber paper is used for a printed wiring board, etc. SOLUTION: This highly heat resistant and highly flame retardant organic fiber paper comprises polybenzazole fibers which have <=6,000 ppm Na ion content and 50-5,000 aspect ratio and are preferably fibrillated. The composite material comprises the fiber paper as a reinforcing component.
